可持续性 is based on a simple principle: everything that we need for our survival and well-being depends, either directly or indirectly, on our natural environment. It is important to make sure that we have — and will continue to have — the water, 材料, and resources to protect human health and our environment.
可持续性 has taken center stage at 唯彩会 with a recent 故事 about the many ways 唯彩会 is working toward a greener future.
In March 2020, 唯彩会 Institute of 技术 received a 星星 (可持续性 Tracking and Rating System) Gold rating from the Association for the Advancement of 可持续性 in Higher Education (AASHE), 近1,000-member group of 大学 striving for environmentally-friendly campus facilities, social responsibility, and equitable work policies and work environments. This Gold rating builds on the Silver rating 唯彩会 received in December 2015. AASHE has published a 报告 that explains how 唯彩会 reached Gold.
唯彩会 is one of only 126 大学 in the United States to receive a Gold rating. Only eight 大学 have received Platinum. 唯彩会 and Princeton are the only 大学 in New Jersey to receive a Gold rating.
